Party August 15th at the vineyard
We are having a party at the vineyard in Liso, Hungary on the 15th of August and we would love it if you could come. It?s going to be Dan?s birthday as well as the first big party that we are having on the vineyard. So, please come and help us drink our wine (we have something like 500 liters of wine and we want your help) and palinka too.

who:
Well, you and a guest or two. Let me know if you are coming and if you are bringing anybody by sending an email to vagabond@wheresperry.com and if possible please tell me when you plan to arrive and leave.
when:
We want the main party to be on the 15th but you are more than welcome to come early or stay late. Also the Sziget festival in Budapest is right before the party (check out http://www.sziget.hu) so if you want to come before going to sziget and leave some things behind while you are at the festival, just let us know.
cost:
There is no cost, except maybe a smile.
What to bring:
Bring a tent, sleeping bag, plate, cup, bowl, knife, fork, spoon, food to share (we?ll try to have a lot of food, but more is always welcome), music (if you want to DJ for a while it would be very much appreciated otherwise expect 10 hours of The Doors), drinking water (we don?t have any drinking water here but we will try to have plenty, but the more the better), and whatever else you think you might want to have with you or to share.
what else to bring:
Well, the local bartender loves getting beer he has never had before, so a bottle of something from your area would be nice, but not necessary. Also, one of our neighbours likes to collect stones (about the size of two fists) from other countries, so if you want to make a nice man happy, bring a stone (email me first so we don?t get more than one from each country). We are also building a library, so if you have an interesting book that you want to donate, please bring it (english is best, but we'll take other languages too). Last of all, we are always looking for some films to watch so if you want to bring a copy of a dvd to us, we would surely appreciate it.
Where:
Liszo, Hungary. It?s about 15km south of Nagykanizsa, Hungary near the Croatian border. Nagykanizsa is almost the same distance from Llubliana, Vienna, Bratislava, and Budapest (Zagreb, Maribor, and Graz are a bit closer still).
Public Transportation:
There are train conections to Nagykanizsa from many places. To find out more about train connections, check out http://www.elvira.hu.
To get to Liszo from Nagykanizsa there is a bus which costs 250 Forint (about 1 euro). It leaves from the bus station at platform 8 at 9:25, 11:00, 14:40, 16:30, 17:30, 18:25, 21:00, and 22:35 (7:10, 10:10, 14:25, 17:30, 20:00, and 22:35 on Sundays).
Take the second bus stop in Liszo and then you are almost there. If you look back in the direction that the bus came from and will go after you get off the bus you will see a football field. After that is the village pub (kocsma in hungarian). I recommend going in there for a beer first before coming to the vineyard. After your beer, walk back towards the football field and turn right after it. Walk up the hill past the cemetary to the end of the road and turn right. Eventually you will come to the vineyard (there will be a sign on the road so you can find us).
By car or bicycle:
Basically find out for yourself how to get to Nagykanizsa from such helpful websites as http://maps.google.com or by looking at a map. From Nagykanizsa you will basically have to ask for direction to LIszo. Liszo is the second village after Nagykanizsa (the first being Miklosfa). Sorry I can?t help you with the driving directions from Nagykanizsa but it shouldn?t be too difficult. Once you turn on the road going to Liszo, drive past the football field, turn right and go all the way up the hill (past the cemetary), then turn right and you will find us.
Hitchhiking:
I?ve made it in one day from Bratislava, Munich, Prague, Nis, and Zagreb. Your milage may vary. Don?t foget to say k?sz?n?m szepen (thank you very much) to the drivers.
